Field Services Technician – Water Sampling

Position Overview

The Field Services Technician is responsible for collecting water samples from private residences according to a daily assigned schedule. This role requires professionalism, accuracy in documentation, and adherence to company sampling procedures and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect water samples from private homes following assigned daily routes
  • Prepare and organize bottles and materials for scheduled sampling events
  • Measure and record on-site pH, temperature and chlorine readings
  • Accurately complete and maintain chain of custody (COC) documentation for all samples
  • Properly store samples in a cooler with ice and deliver to ALS Sample Receiving
  • Communicate client requests or concerns to the Field Services Supervisor or appropriate Customer Service Representative
  • Perform routine company vehicle maintenance (fluid checks, basic upkeep, interior/exterior cleaning)
  • Ensure compliance with field service sampling plans, assigned SOPs, QA Manual, and Client Service Manual
  • Maintain a professional appearance and conduct when interacting with clients and staff
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Reliable personal vehicle (mileage and tolls reimbursed)
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing systems
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
  • Ability to follow strict procedures and quality standards
  • Professional communication skills
